An Important Step Toward International Cooperation

Yesterday, the Department of Integrated English Course 3 of the Third Faculty of English took another significant and strategic step toward expanding international cooperation. The department officially signed mutually beneficial Memoranda of Understanding with three prestigious Indonesian higher education institutions: Universitas Muhammadiyah, State Islamic University SMH Banten, and Universitas Medan Area.

The first practical outcomes of these international agreements were not long in coming. As part of the cooperation framework, Indonesian representatives and guests visiting Uzbekistan were warmly welcomed by the department’s academic team.

Within the framework of the international “Trip Camp” project, jointly organized by the Head of the Department, P. Omanov, the Vice Dean for Research of the Third Faculty of English, X. Shomuxammadov, and senior lecturers F. Mannonova and Z. Ismailova, a series of cultural and educational tours were arranged for the guests from May 20 to 25.

During their visit, the guests explored the rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and unique traditions of Uzbekistan. They had the opportunity to discover modern Tashkent, the magnificent city of Samarkand, and the ancient city of Bukhara, renowned as one of the jewels of Islamic civilization. The visitors were also deeply impressed by the sincere hospitality of the Uzbek people.

This project is expected to play an important role in strengthening academic and cultural ties between the two countries, expanding student and faculty exchange programs, and promoting joint international research initiatives.

We congratulate the department team on this remarkable achievement and wish them continued success in their international endeavors.
