An international forum titled “The Development Goal of New Uzbekistan – Enhancing Women’s Participation in Science” was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University
On April 17 of this year, a prestigious event dedicated to increasing the role of women in science in the development of the country was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The forum was organized in close cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and the Olima Women Scientists Association.
The forum was opened by the university rector, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, who highlighted the important role of women scientists in society and emphasized the wide opportunities being created for them. Opening remarks were also delivered by Dildora Solikhujayeva, a specialist from the Ministry’s Department of Youth Policy and Spiritual-Educational Affairs, Professor Raxbarxon Murtazaeva, Chairperson of the “Olima” Association, and Jannat Ismoilova, Director of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, who congratulated the participants.

The event was moderated by D. Babajanova, Chairperson of the university’s “Olima” Association. Within the framework of the forum, another significant event took place — a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Sister Cities Alliance and Uzbekistan State World Languages University, which will contribute to strengthening international scientific cooperation.
The cultural part of the event featured a performance by Honored Poet of Uzbekistan Bobur Bobomurod, whose poetry dedicated to women created an uplifting atmosphere.
During the main session, experts presented reports on topical issues such as gender equality, the role of women in building a rule-of-law state, scientific cooperation among Turkic-speaking nations, and the participation of Uzbek women scholars in international research projects. Among the speakers was also Dr. Sevil Piriyeva Karaman from Ankara University, which highlighted the forum’s international significance.
Young researchers, including recipients of the Zulfiya State Prize, also shared their personal experiences, providing strong motivation for female students. At the end of the forum, women actively engaged in scientific activities and distinguished participants were duly awarded.

This forum marked another important step toward uniting the scientific potential of women and advancing their intellectual activities to a new level in New Uzbekistan.
