2026-09-22 01-33 Another Important Stage of International Educational Cooperation Successfully Concluded at UzSWLU
As part of the “University English Teaching Essentials” project, supported by the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the U.S. Embassy, renowned specialist Professor Sarah Dietrich visited the Faculty of English Language No. 3 of Uzbekistan State World Languages University on September 21–22.
The two-day visit began with a meeting with Ilhom Khaydarov, Dean of the Faculty of English Language No. 3, during which the parties discussed prospective areas for further cooperation in detail.
During the visit, Professor Dietrich observed classes conducted by young instructors and provided practical recommendations aimed at supporting their professional development.
As part of the programme, a class observation was also conducted with the participation of Fulbright teacher Monica Zhang.
At the next stage of the programme, engaging workshops were held for professional development course participants and faculty members. The sessions focused on student-centered learning, comprehensible input and output, and the integration of the four language skills.
In addition, special mentoring sessions were conducted on effectively adapting American educational practices to local conditions and assessing students’ written work.
Such international engagements play an important role in strengthening teachers’ professional capacity and further improving the quality of education.
