Another  key step towards the establishment of a joint Uzbekistan–France University

On May 13, 2025, a roundtable discussion was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University as part of ongoing efforts to establish a joint university between Uzbekistan and France.

The event was attended by Caroline Belan-Menagier, Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Foreign Student Affairs at the University of Poitiers (France), Professor Freiderikos Valetopoulos, Coordinator of the Master’s Program, and other experts.

On the same day, the guests were received by the Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Madaminovich Tukhtasinov. During the meeting, prospects for bilateral scientific and academic cooperation were discussed.

 

     

      

 

The roundtable continued under the leadership of Abdurahim Abdimutalipovich Nasirov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation. Participants included Patkhiddin Nishonov, Head of the Department of Applied French Studies; Gulsanam Rakhimova, Head of the Department of Theoretical French Studies; Senior Lecturer Ghayrat Masharibov; and Lecturer Ma’ruf Uzkinov.

Key topics discussed included the academic curriculum of the future university, teaching hours, recruitment procedures for faculty, student admission processes and timelines, required documentation, and the evaluation system.
