“Art of Oratory” Competition

On January 22, the university stage of the 24th “Art of Oratory” competition was held at the Faculty of Oriental Philology of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

The competition was organized to develop students’ skills in speaking Japanese fluently and confidently, enhance their oratory abilities, and demonstrate their creative and critical thinking potential.

For reference, at the previous — preliminary — stage, 45 students participated, and 14 of them showcased their knowledge and skills to qualify for the university stage.

The final stage was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology, Dilshod Djurayev, who wished participants success and highlighted the importance of the competition in expanding youth knowledge.

In the final, students delivered speeches in Japanese, clearly and fluently presenting their ideas within the given topic. The participants’ speeches were evaluated by a panel of judges based on speech culture, pronunciation, topic coverage, and activity during Q&A sessions.

At the end of the competition, the Dean Dilshod Djurayev and the Deputy Dean for Youth and Spiritual-Educational Affairs Ulugbek Nazarov announced the winners.

Results:
1st place — Maxamataliyeva Navbaxor
2nd place — Davronova Ruxshona
3rd place — Oxunova Sevinch

The 1st-place winner, Maxamataliyeva Navbaxor, earned the right to represent the Uzbekistan State World Languages University at the national stage of the “Art of Oratory” competition.
