“Athlete – Defender of the Homeland”: University Table Tennis Championship Held

On May 16, as part of the university's sports month, the Uzbek State University of World Languages hosted a student table tennis championship under the slogan “Athlete – Defender of the Homeland.”

A total of 100 students from all university faculties took part in the competition, contending for top places. The matches were held in a spirited, competitive, and friendly environment.

The results of the tournament were as follows:

Among male students:

• 1st place – Yakhyomirza Qodirov (Faculty of Translation Studies)

• 2nd place – Akbar Eshtemirov (Faculty of Translation Studies)

• 3rd place – Abdulaziz Tursunaliev (English Language Faculty 3)

Among female students:

• 1st place – Lolakhon Qahramonkhujayeva (Faculty of International Journalism)

• 2nd place – Sabrina Safarova (Faculty of Russian Philology)

• 3rd place – Kamola Shukhratova (Faculty of Translation Studies)

The winners and prize holders were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts by the university. This event played an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle, increasing interest in sports, and encouraging physical activity among students.
