Awards and Ceremonial Events Held During the UzSWLU Council Meeting

During the meeting of the Council of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, several celebratory events took place for the university community.

In particular, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Arabic Translation Theory and Practice, Faculty of Translation, Ahmad Jasim Abbas Al-Zubaidi was formally congratulated on being awarded the state order “Mehnat Shuhrati” (Labor Glory) in accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This high state award was recognized as a significant acknowledgment of his long-standing effective academic and pedagogical activity, his substantial contribution to Arabic studies and translation studies, and his dedicated work in training young specialists.

In addition, by decision of the Council, he was awarded the title of “Honorary Professor of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.”

The meeting also included a formal awarding ceremony for faculty members who had recently obtained academic degrees.

Diplomas were ceremonially awarded to the following staff members:

• Akbarov Azamat Akromjonovich — Lecturer, Department of Korean Philology, Faculty of Oriental Philology, PhD in Philology;
• Sarimsakova Dilafruz Muhammadjonovna — Associate Professor, Department of Practical Aspects of English Language, Faculty of English Philology, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (DSc);
• Bozorov Abdusodic Abdurayimovich — Senior Lecturer, Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Faculty of English Language 1, PhD in Psychology.

During the ceremony, the achievements of academic staff engaged in research were recognized, and commemorative gifts were presented by the university administration.
