CEREMONY HELD AT UZSWLU TO PRESENT THE ARCHITECTURAL MODEL OF THE PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS (KLCC)
On 31 October, a formal handover ceremony was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) for the architectural model of the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC), created by faculty members and students of Malaysia’s Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).
The event began with an official meeting attended by UzSWLU Rector Ilhomjon Tukhtasinov and representatives of the UTHM delegation. Following the meeting, the university leadership and the Malaysian delegation visited the site where the architectural model had been installed.

The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks from the master of ceremonies. Rector of UzSWLU Ilhomjon Tukhtasinov then delivered a congratulatory speech, highlighting the importance of friendship, mutual trust, and international cooperation between the two universities.
The central part of the ceremony featured the formal presentation of the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) architectural model to Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The model was created through the efforts of UTHM faculty members and students.
The project was recognised as one of the significant practical outcomes of the cooperation memorandum signed by the two universities on 12 November 2025.
Following the handover, university officials, members of the Malaysian delegation, and other participants had the opportunity to examine the model closely and exchange views on its architectural design, construction process, and the work carried out during the project’s development.

During the ceremony, sincere gratitude was expressed to the UTHM faculty members and students who had made a valuable contribution to the project. The event concluded with a group photograph.
The architectural model of the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) will now stand on the UzSWLU campus as a symbol of friendship between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, their academic and educational ties, and lasting international cooperation.
