Cooperation with Azerbaijan University of Languages Reaches a New Stage

As previously reported, Abdurakhim Nasirov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, is currently visiting the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), where he is holding a series of meetings aimed at elevating cooperation between the two higher education institutions to a new level and expanding investment opportunities.

During the negotiations held on May 6, the parties discussed student and faculty exchange programs, the launch of joint educational programs, the introduction of modern curricula and innovative educational technologies, as well as joint participation in international grant and scholarship programs.

In addition, accompanied by Vice-Rector for Research Hamida khanim, A. Nasirov familiarized himself with the university’s scientific activities. In particular, a meeting was held with independent researchers conducting dissertation research under the academic supervision of Professor I. Tukhtasinov, Associate Professor O. Yusupov, and Professor N. Isakulova. The progress of the research work was reviewed, and recommendations were provided.

During the visit, issues related to the further development of the “Uzbek Language and Culture Center” operating at AUL were also discussed. Proposals were put forward to appoint a responsible coordinator for the center, organize events dedicated to the Uzbek language and culture, and expand opportunities for teaching Uzbek as a second or third foreign language.

Together with Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Jariya khanim and lecturer Jayhun, a “Roadmap” project was developed within the framework of the memorandum. The document outlines priority areas such as joint educational programs, scientific publications indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science, student and faculty exchanges, joint academic articles, and co-supervision of master’s students and researchers.
