Delegation of Jeju National University Visits Uzbekistan State World Languages University

Today, August 21, a delegation from Jeju National University of the Republic of Korea visited Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

At the beginning of the visit, the guests familiarized themselves with the activities of the Korea Education and Culture Center at the Faculty of Oriental Philology of UzSWLU. This was followed by a meeting with UzSWLU students who are heading to the Republic of Korea to study at Jeju National University under an exchange program. During the meeting, the students were provided with information about educational opportunities in Korea, the university’s academic process, and the cultural environment.

The main part of the visit continued with an official meeting held at the main building of UzSWLU. The meeting was attended by A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector of UzSWLU for International Cooperation; K. Yuldashev, Head of the International Cooperation Department; D. M. Djurayev, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology; and M. Sh. Absalomov, Head of the Department of Korean Philology.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further develop cooperation between the two higher education institutions.

In particular, the participants exchanged views on the following issues:

— expanding student exchange quotas;

— establishing opportunities for students of Jeju National University to study at UzSWLU under exchange programs;

— expanding internship opportunities for UzSWLU students at Jeju National University;

— developing joint professional development programs for faculty members;

— organizing short-term summer and winter cultural exchange programs for students;

— conducting joint research and publishing scientific articles by faculty members;

— exchanging views on the development of modern educational programs and the organization of classes using artificial intelligence technologies.

The parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest, including prospects for expanding academic mobility and cooperation in the educational process.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached agreements on bringing academic cooperation between UzSWLU and Jeju National University to a new level, further strengthening existing ties, and implementing new joint projects.
