Discussion Held on Dissertation Exploring the Artistic Interpretation of Alisher Navoi's Personality.
On July 4, a scientific seminar was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages dedicated to the discussion of PhD dissertations in the field of philology.
The event was conducted in a hybrid format — both offline and online via the ZOOM platform — and was attended by university professors, researchers, the PhD candidate, and official opponents.
During the seminar, Alla Viktorovna Tkachenko’s dissertation entitled “The Artistic Interpretation of Alisher Navoi’s Personality in Oybek’s Novel ‘Navoi’ and L.G. Bat’s Story ‘The Garden of Life’” was discussed. The dissertation falls under specialty 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Comparative Linguistics, and Translation Studies.
The dissertation presents an in-depth analysis of the literary portrayal of Alisher Navoi in the works of Oybek and Russian writer L.G. Bat. It examines similarities and differences in artistic interpretation, reliance on historical sources, and expression of national and universal values. Seminar participants emphasized the relevance, scientific novelty, and practical significance of the research.
Official opponents shared their assessments of the dissertation, praising its scholarly depth and the importance of the topic within contemporary literary studies.
At the conclusion of the seminar, members of the academic committee gave a positive evaluation and recommended the dissertation for defense toward earning a PhD in Philology.
