EARLY MARRIAGE — WE MUST NOT BE INDIFFERENT TO THE FUTURE!
An educational awareness event was organized at the Faculty of Russian Philology for female students, focusing on the prevention of early marriage, raising awareness of its negative consequences, and protecting reproductive health.
The event was organized on the initiative of I. Sa’diyeva, an IPMBIB specialist at the faculty, G. Nishonova, the Dean’s Adviser on Women’s Issues, and D. Izzatullayeva, a faculty tutor, with the participation of Zilola Azimboyeva, the university’s highest-category physician.
During the discussion, detailed explanations were provided on the impact of early marriage on girls’ health, the medical risks associated with early pregnancy, and its psychological and social consequences. Particular attention was also paid to preparing for family life, the importance of education, and making informed decisions when planning one’s future.
At the end of the event, the students received detailed answers from the physician to the questions they had raised.
