Educational initiative in cooperation with the Uzbek State University of world languages and the State Autonomous University of Mexico
Uzbekistan State University of world languages has established effective cooperation with prestigious universities, research centers and Training Institutes of the world within the framework of international relations. Such contacts are of great importance not only in improving the qualifications of students and teachers, but also in improving the quality of education and exchanging experience among themselves.
Of particular importance in this direction is the cooperation established with the prestigious Mexican institution of Higher Education – the State Autonomous University of Mexico (251st place in the QS WUR ranking, 1001-1200 place in the QS World University Ranking). Within the framework of this memorandum, since 2021, every semester, under the leadership of Spanish specialists, including professor Vima Vilchis Velazquez, professor Carlos Aguilar and Gabriela Soriano, and graduate students of the course are delivering lectures and practical classes on topical topics related to philology and methodology individually to professors and students of the Department of “Spanish Applied Sciences” of the Faculty of Roman-Germanic philology. In particular, in October-November 2024, the 20-hour online lecture program covered the following topics:
• Metáforas y estudios culturales del español y mexicano
• La enseñanza de ELE en el aula uzbeka
• Cultura española a través de la lingüística
• Las simuliaridades linguoculturales de los países hispanohablantes
• La lengua española y su desarrollo en el mundo
• Sobre la gramática conceptual del español y uzbeko
• Breve historia de México y países hispanohablantes
The initiative is contributing to the enrichment of Spanish language curricula, strengthening mutual linguistic and cultural ties. The program serves not only to increase the knowledge and skills of the participants, but also to further strengthen the leading position of Uzdzhtu in international cooperation, to introduce the culture and traditions of Uzbekistan to the world. Participants were also awarded a certificate after the successful completion of the program.
The Department of Applied Sciences of the Spanish language will continue to improve the quality of education like this and introduce new approaches to modern educational processes through projects of scientific cooperation.
