2026-09-29 09-16 Educational Meeting on “Peace — the Greatest Blessing” Held at UzSWLU
On September 28, an educational meeting on the topics “Peace — the Greatest Blessing” and “Combating Ignorance through Enlightenment!” was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
The meeting was organized to prevent students and young people from falling under the influence of various destructive ideas, strengthen their ideological and worldview resilience, and further promote a healthy social and spiritual environment.
The event was opened by Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University. In his speech, the Rector emphasized that peace and stability are essential factors for the development of society, enabling young people to pursue education and realize their aspirations for the future. He also highlighted the importance of protecting students and young people from the influence of harmful ideas and developing their sound worldview, critical thinking, and skills for responsible use of information.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the university administration, responsible staff members and students, as well as invited guests, including Golib Burievich Nuriddinov, Chief Specialist of the Uchtepa District Office of the Tashkent City Department of the Committee on Religious Affairs; Nodirbek Ubaydullaevich Nurmatov, Chief Specialist for Educational Outreach in the Almazar District of Tashkent; and Abdugafur Abduraufovich Aripkhodjaev, an officer of the Uchtepa District Department of Internal Affairs.
The specialists delivered presentations on the topic, addressing issues related to preserving peace and stability, combating ignorance and destructive ideas through enlightenment, and protecting young people from various harmful influences. They also provided recommendations on approaching information disseminated on the internet and social media with vigilance, analyzing different sources of information, and relying on trustworthy sources.
At the conclusion of the event, Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov expressed his gratitude to the guests for their participation and informative presentations and presented them with letters of appreciation.
