Today, February 21, an event dedicated to the "International Mother Tongue Day", announced by the UNESCO organization, was held in UzSWLU. 

The spiritual and educational event, organized in cooperation with the embassy of the people's Republic of Bangladesh in Uzbekistan, was attended by ambassadors from Bangladesh, India, Turkey, Malaysia, China, representatives of embassies from countries such as the Sultanate of Oman, Russia, Latvia, head of the Office of the UNESCO organization in Uzbekistan, head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking at the event, temporary acting rector of UzSWLU Mr. M.Chutpulatov and Mr. Mohammad Monirul Islam, Ambassador of Bangladesh, Sarah Nashadi Khomin, head of the mission of UNESCO in Uzbekistan, spoke about the role and importance of the native language in the development of the nation's development, spirituality, culture and rich heritage. 

In the artistic part of the event, songs in French, Hindi, Chinese, Russian, Bengali and other languages were played and dances were performed. The guests were presented with poems in Uzbek, national songs and dances. 

The performances of the students made a strong impression on the participants of the event. At the end of the event, students were presented with gifts prepared by the Embassy of Bangladesh.
