2026-09-07 05-11 First Steps Towards Student Life at the Faculty of English Language No. 1
A welcome ceremony was held at the Faculty of English Language No. 1 of Uzbekistan State World Languages University for first-year students beginning the new academic year.
University Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov attended the event and congratulated the young people on becoming university students. In his speech, he emphasized that, alongside achieving a high level of proficiency in a foreign language, it is important to develop independent thinking, modern knowledge and skills, and make effective use of the opportunities provided by the university.
The new students were introduced to the faculty’s professors and teachers, as well as its educational programs. They were also provided with essential information about the educational process, university opportunities, students’ rights and responsibilities, and internal regulations.
During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were presented to first-year students who had been admitted to the university with the highest scores.
“Future Hour” — The First Lesson
On the first days of the new academic year, a “Future Hour” lesson was also organized for first-year students on the topic “Together as One Homeland and One People, We Will Create a New Life and Future!”
During the lesson, students discussed the development of our country, the essence and significance of independence, the role of young people in society, and their goals for the future.
At the end of the lesson, students shared their views and spoke about their goals and plans for the new academic year.
