FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT AND TEACHING CENTRE OPENS AT SCHOOL NO. 20 IN PARKENT DISTRICT
Uzbekistan State World Languages University is continuing to implement initiatives under the slogan “A Path to the Future Through Foreign Languages”. These initiatives aim to increase young people’s interest in learning foreign languages, strengthen their knowledge and skills, and introduce modern teaching methods into the educational process.
On 22 October, as part of this initiative, the Foreign Language Development and Teaching Centre was officially opened at School No. 20 in Parkent district.
The event was attended by a university delegation led by UzSWLU Rector and Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Lola Agzamova Adkhamboyevna, principal of School No. 20, and members of the school community.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, UzSWLU Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov emphasised that proficiency in foreign languages opens up new educational and professional opportunities for young people. Attention was also drawn to developing school students’ language skills, strengthening their practical communication abilities, and fostering cooperation between educational institutions.
During the ceremony, the guests cut the symbolic ribbon and toured the classroom equipped with modern learning facilities. A meeting was then held with volunteers from the university and the school. The volunteers introduced themselves and provided information about the study plans and innovative methods used in foreign language teaching.
To further expand students’ learning opportunities, the university presented the school with a collection of books, including international educational literature, workbooks, and modern teaching resources. These materials will support independent learning, broaden students’ knowledge, and help them develop a deeper command of foreign languages.

The opening of the new centre at School No. 20 in Parkent district marks an important initiative aimed at creating additional opportunities for foreign language learning, promoting the wider adoption of modern teaching methods, and laying a strong foundation for young people’s future achievements.
