2026-06-08 11-44 Grand Opening Ceremony of the “New Uzbekistan Students’ Olympiad” Held
On June 5, 2026, the republican final stage of the newly established “New Uzbekistan Students’ Olympiad” was officially opened with a grand ceremony at the Olympic Village in Tashkent.
The event was attended by the President’s Representative for Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Odil Abdurakhmanov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov, Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov, heads of higher education institutions, as well as the Rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Madaminovich Tuxtasinov.
During the ceremony, special attention was given to promoting sports among students, encouraging a healthy lifestyle, and supporting talented athletes. The program also included artistic performances, sports demonstrations, and a concert.
The competitions, which will continue until June 11, will bring together the strongest student-athletes from across the country competing in various sports disciplines.
Students of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University are also participating in the final stage of the Olympiad and are demonstrating their skills in different sports categories.
