At 10:00 AM on December 4, 2025, in Seoul, the forum titled “The Future of Korea–Uzbekistan Higher Education Cooperation: Government Policies and the Role of Universities” began its work with the participation of leaders of higher education institutions from Korea and Uzbekistan.
The opening ceremony was attended by Korea’s Minister of Education Choi Kyojin, Chairman of the Education Committee of the Korean National Assembly Kim Yong-ho, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Korea Alisher Abdusalomov, as well as leaders of nearly 30 leading universities from both countries.
Along with the main sessions of the forum, bilateral discussions between the heads of universities of the two states also commenced. The Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov, presented proposals and initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation with Korean counterparts, including establishing exchange and joint educational programs, as well as jointly developing and implementing artificial intelligence–based projects.
In the second half of the day, university leaders will participate with their presentations in the “2025 Global AI Talent & Education Forum” and conduct B2B-format negotiations.
