On January 27, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Korea Culture Center was held at the Department of Eastern Philology of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages within the framework of a project aimed at the activities of KOICA project volunteers from 2025 to 2027.
The event was opened by A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.
As part of the project, it is planned to create a Korea Culture Center on the first floor of the Department of Eastern Philology building. The opening ceremony was attended by 14 volunteers and staff from KOICA.
Speakers at the event discussed the goals and objectives of the Korea Culture Center, its club activities, and future plans.
For students, the center will offer opportunities to study Korean language and culture in more depth. In addition, various cultural events and masterclasses will be organized. This center is expected to play a significant role in strengthening cultural ties between the two nations and increasing students' interest in the Korean language and culture.
