On January 28, the Coordinator for Education of the Representative Office of "Rossotrudnichestvo" in Uzbekistan, Irina Vladimirovna Suljina, visited Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) together with M. Saidov, Vice-Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University.

The guests were welcomed by the Rector of UzSWLU, Ilhomjon Tukhtasinov, along with representatives of the university administration. At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector emphasized the importance of enhancing educational cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan to a new level. He briefly highlighted the international opportunities being created for faculty and students at UzSWLU. The guests were provided with detailed information about the university’s activities, international programs, and research projects.

As part of the visit, a bilateral meeting was organized. Participants in the meeting included UzSWLU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs M. Khamrayev, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, Methodologist of the Department M. Ogay, and Vice-Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University M. Saidov.

The parties discussed issues related to the development of cooperation between higher education institutions in Russia and Uzbekistan. I. Suljina highlighted the opportunities offered by the "Study in Russia" electronic platform, which facilitates finding partner universities, participating in grant programs, and organizing free professional development courses for faculty members.

During the meeting, the following agreements were reached:  
• Providing textbooks on the Russian language and literature from Russia;  
• Organizing master classes with Russian specialists within the framework of the Methodological Laboratory;  
• Involving scholars from UzSWLU and Russian universities in the editorial boards of scientific journals.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to sign a cooperation agreement in the first decade of February, with a "Roadmap" to be developed as an annex. I. Suljina requested that the UzSWLU administration prepare and submit well-grounded proposals aimed at improving the quality of education and research activities for review.
