The delegation of Uzbekistan State University of World Languages visited the Institute of Language and Literature of Malaysia
On February 3, 2025, a delegation from Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, led by Rector I. Tukhtasinov, visited the Devon Baxasa dan Pustaka Language and Literature Institute in Malaysia as part of their participation in the “1st Malaysia-Uzbekistan Higher Education Forum and Exhibition,” held under the theme "Uzbekistan-Malaysia: Opportunities and Initiatives for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Higher Education."
This forum is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia, with the aim of further developing bilateral cooperation and setting new tasks in the field of education.
The Devon Baxasa dan Pustaka organization, since its establishment in 1956, has been engaged in language teaching, particularly the teaching of the Malay language and literature, as well as issues related to Malaysian culture, methodologies, technologies, and translation. It also focuses on scientific research, and the creation and improvement of textbooks and educational materials.
During the meeting, the head of the organization, Dr. Hazami bin Jahari, and several officials exchanged views on the opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
Additionally, the leadership of UzSWLU provided information about the university.
Preparation for the visit and the forum in Malaysia is ongoing.
