According to Japanese traditions, Emperor Naruhito's birthday – "Birthday" (Tanjōbi) – is a national holiday celebrated every year in Japan and other places.

On this occasion, an event was organized on February 21 at the Hyatt Regency hotel by the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by the rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, the dean of the Faculty of Eastern Philology, Dilshod Djurayev, and the professors of the Department of Japanese Philology.

During the event, cultural ties between Japan and Uzbekistan were strengthened, and the friendship between the two countries was once again celebrated. The participants gained interesting information about Japanese culture, traditions, and customs.
