Rectors’ Meeting Held within the Visit of Liaodong University (PRC) Delegation to UzSWLU
On December 22, 2025, an official meeting with the delegation of Liaodong University of the People’s Republic of China was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.
The Liaodong University delegation included Rector Fu Libin, Dean of the College of Science Li Fuxiang, Dean of the College of Textile and Apparel Cao Jipeng, and Lecturer of the College of International Education Dong Ran.
The meeting was attended by UzSWLU Rector I. Tukhtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Kh. Yuldashev, Head of the Joint Educational Programs Coordination Department F. Rashidova, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology D. Djuraev, and Head of the Department of Chinese Philology Sh. Khakimova.
At the beginning of the meeting, UzSWLU Rector I. Tukhtasinov provided the guests with brief information about the university’s activities, highlighting educational programs, academic potential, international partnerships, and modern approaches to foreign language teaching.
Subsequently, Liaodong University Rector Fu Libin delivered a speech, sharing information about his university’s activities, priority areas, and experience in international cooperation. The parties exchanged views on prospects for developing cooperation in higher education, mutual exchange of experience, and the implementation of joint initiatives.
During the negotiations, the establishment of academic exchange programs for students studying Chinese and English, the organization of summer language camps at both universities, and the training of specialists in the fields of “Chinese language + Uzbek language + technical disciplines” were discussed. In addition, specific proposals were put forward regarding the development of teaching materials, the launch of an online platform for HSK exam preparation with instruction provided from China, the implementation of a 2+2 project within joint educational programs, and the expansion of cooperation within international projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to gradually develop cooperation in the identified areas and signed a cooperation agreement between the two universities.
