International Roundtable Successfully Held
On June 3, 2026, an international roundtable discussion titled “Language Interaction in the Context of Society’s Spiritual Modernization” was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
The event was organized within the framework of the research project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan entitled “The Turkic Languages of Kazakhstan in the Context of Society’s Spiritual Modernization: From Script to Epic Text.” The roundtable was jointly conducted by Uzbekistan State World Languages University and the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was opened with welcoming remarks by the university’s Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Abdurahim Nasirov.
During the roundtable, leading scholars, professors, and researchers from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan delivered presentations on the development of Turkic languages, the transition to the Latin script, interlingual relations, the history of translation, language standards, the impact of social media and artificial intelligence on youth speech culture, digital educational resources, and issues related to cultural heritage.
The event also featured a presentation of the results of the research project “The Turkic Languages of Kazakhstan in the Context of Society’s Spiritual Modernization: From Script to Epic Text,” funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the conclusion of the event, participants exchanged views on current issues concerning the functioning, preservation, and development of Turkic languages in a multicultural environment and discussed prospects for future academic cooperation.
The international roundtable became an important platform for dialogue on the study of Turkic languages, the expansion of scientific cooperation, and the preservation of cultural and spiritual values.
