Issues of Increasing Education Export Discussed at UzSWLU
On May 5, a regular working meeting was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University under the chairmanship of Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. The meeting was attended by vice-rectors, faculty deans, department heads, and the director of the Language Teaching Center.
The agenda included discussions on the implementation of the relevant instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. In particular, the participants focused on increasing the volume of education export, actively attracting foreign citizens to UzSWLU, organizing academic programs within the framework of exchange initiatives with partner universities, and sending students abroad during the summer holidays as part of the Work and Travel program.
In his speech, Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov emphasized that the university is currently carrying out targeted efforts to attract international students from countries such as China, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan.
He also reminded all responsible officials about the importance of fulfilling the assigned tasks effectively and efficiently, and instructed them to make rational use of existing opportunities, and organize business trips to neighboring countries based on prepared informational materials and promotional videos about the university’s activities.
