KOICA and KIDC Representatives Visited USWLU

On April 16 at 15:00, a meeting was held at the Rectorate of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University with the participation of representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Korea International Development Center (KIDC).

During the visit, KIDC Regional Manager in Uzbekistan No Yunmi, Local Manager Anvarjon Shomirzayev, Center staff member Umida Usmonova, as well as a group of Korean volunteers met with the university administration and responsible staff members.

 

 

The Rector of the university, I. Tukhtasinov, also participated in the meeting, warmly welcoming the guests and providing detailed information about the university’s activities, international cooperation, and ongoing work in Korean language education. He also expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Korea, KOICA, and KIDC for their practical and financial support.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
– improvement of Uzbek language and adaptation courses;
– organization of language and cultural classes for Korean language students;
– future plans and responsibilities of volunteers.

Participants also exchanged views on the activities of the Korean Education and Culture Center being established at the Faculty of Oriental Philology, its development prospects, and opportunities created for students.

 

 

At the end of the meeting, both sides reached an agreement to further strengthen cooperation, expand educational and cultural ties, and consistently implement ongoing projects.
