On October 2, a meeting was held at UzSWLU with Ms. Kim Son Jung, Vice-Rector of Keimyung University in Korea, Mr. Yu Mun-Ki, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Mr. Yu Mon-Shik, Coordinator of the Department.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the implementation of student, teacher, and researcher exchange programs, the establishment of a King Sejong Center at UzSWLU, the launch of joint education programs in a 2+2 format, and the use of Keimyung University's e-school electronic learning platform.
In particular, Keimyung University expressed its readiness to provide free access to its e-school platform for learning the Korean language, introduce Sejong Institute certificates for Korean language proficiency, and offer tuition discounts on an annual fee of $5,000 for students in joint education programs. These discounts include a 50% reduction for students with TOPIC Level 3, a 70% reduction for students with TOPIC Level 4, and full tuition coverage for students with TOPIC Level 5.
The Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, A. Nasirov, suggested starting joint educational programs in bachelor's degrees such as "Korean Language + Education Management," "Korean Language + Educational Psychology," and "Korean Language + Computational Linguistics."
He also emphasized the need to sign a separate agreement and develop curricula and study plans to implement these programs. He noted that all matters would be coordinated with the Head of the International Cooperation Department, Kh. Yuldashev.
The Korean side invited UzSWLU's leadership and specialists to visit Keimyung University to study the discussed issues in detail and to sign the documents.
