Programs Under the “Relevant 90 Days” Initiative Continue
As part of the “Relevant 90 Days” initiative, Shokhsanam Turgunova, a teacher from the Department of Practical Aspects of the English Language at the Faculty of English Philology of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, conducted an English lesson on the topic “Health” for 6th-grade students at School No. 337 in the Bektemir district.
The main goal of the lesson was to strengthen students' understanding of a healthy lifestyle through the English language and to develop their skills in thinking and expressing themselves freely in a foreign language.
During the class, students discussed topics such as healthy eating, hygiene, physical activity, and avoiding harmful habits — all in English. Using interactive methods like picture-based tasks, the game “Find someone who...,” “Word match” exercises, and role-plays, they actively engaged with the topic.
By the end of the lesson, students grasped the meaning of the phrase “Health is wealth” and shared their thoughts on healthy habits in English.
