Meeting Held with Faculty Members Departing for France

On March 27, 2026, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University with faculty members departing for the University of Le Havre Normandy (France).

The meeting was organized within the framework of an international project under the European Union’s Erasmus+ mobility program. University leadership and responsible staff members participated and provided the faculty with necessary instructions prior to departure.

It was reported that five faculty members of the university will stay in France from March 30 to April 3, 2026, and take part in seminars and training sessions at the University of Le Havre Normandy. All travel expenses are covered by project funds.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of the university, I. M. Tukhhtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Kh. Yuldashev, and Dean of the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology Kh. Khakimov. They wished the participants success and emphasized the importance of properly representing the university’s reputation during the visit.

During the visit, the faculty members will become acquainted with the activities of relevant departments at the University of Le Havre Normandy and exchange experience with foreign colleagues on improving French language teaching methodologies. Presentations will also be delivered on foreign language education in Uzbekistan, the university’s activities, and its position in international rankings.

In addition, discussions are planned on further cooperation, including joint research projects, publication in indexed journals, joint doctoral supervision, and attracting foreign professors to the university.

Issues related to involving students in summer schools and cultural-educational programs were also discussed.
