Meeting with Departing Students to China, Japan, and Korea
On August 25, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University under the leadership of Rector Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov with teachers, doctoral students, and students preparing to travel abroad.
During the meeting, they were wished success in their upcoming studies and research, and it was emphasized that they must work responsibly to elevate the prestige of our country.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, a total of 42 teachers, doctoral candidates, and students from the university will continue their education and scientific research abroad. The main destinations are China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. Participants will study in various programs for either one year or one semester.
Within the framework of these international academic exchanges, students and researchers will gain foreign experience, improve their language and professional skills, and conduct practical research at partner universities.
Opportunities are also provided for faculty members to participate in academic cooperation and scientific projects.
Information:
- China – Students are supported by the Chinese Government Scholarship, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Grant, and Liaodong University. In some cases, airfare is covered by the students.
- Japan – 18 students are being sent. Of them, 5 are fully funded under the MEXT scholarship, 2 doctoral students and 11 students will study under the JASSO program. Some receive monthly stipends of up to 700–1000 USD.
- Korea – 3 students will study for one semester at Sunchon University. Tuition and living expenses are covered by the Korean side.
