On October 2, 2025, the Uzbek State University of World Languages hosted a meeting with representatives of the Japanese company FPT Consulting Japan Co., Ltd.

The guests were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, and Head of the Department of Japanese Philology N. Khamidova.

During the meeting, the company’s representatives — team leader Takuya Suzuki, chief consultant Saito Yumiko, and consultant Ryo Itoga — got acquainted with the university's activities, particularly its effective work in training qualified Japanese language specialists. A video about the university was also presented.

Saito Yumiko acknowledged UzSWLU as a leading higher education institution in Uzbekistan for training Japanese language professionals, noting the high demand for IT specialists in Japan. Proposals for establishing bilateral cooperation were discussed.

University representatives noted that senior-year students hold B2 and C1 level Japanese language certificates. It was emphasized that organizing short-term online and offline professional training courses, as well as internships in Japanese companies, would be mutually beneficial.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged questions and agreed on potential areas for future cooperation.
