Meeting with TEPS Representatives Held at UzSWLU

On July 23, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted an official visit by representatives of TEPS — the Korean language proficiency testing organization under the Seoul University Council in South Korea.

As part of the visit, Mr. Sungwon Lee, Director of Marketing at TEPS, held negotiations with the university administration. The meeting was attended by UzSWLU Rector I. Tuxtasinov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation O. Yusupov, Head of the International Relations Department Kh. Yuldashev, and Dean of the Faculty of Eastern Philology D. Jo‘rayev.

During the discussion, both sides addressed ways to improve the quality of Korean language instruction at the university and to enhance the educational process based on modern standards. In particular, they discussed the possibility of organizing internationally recognized TOPIK exams on the university's premises.

They also explored prospects for training qualified expert-examiners among Korean language teachers and supporting employment opportunities for university graduates in Seoul. Other mutually relevant issues were also discussed, and constructive proposals were put forward.

This visit marked an important step toward strengthening international cooperation between UzSWLU and TEPS and enhancing the teaching and assessment systems of the Korean language.
