Meetings and visits continue in Turkey within the framework of an international project

As part of the program “In Search of Ancient Words: Turkey–Uzbekistan Exchange Program for Specialists in Language and Literature,” university delegations also visited the Hatay province on April 17–18, 2026.

At the GSB Hatay Youth Center, guests were provided with detailed information about the center’s activities. The host also accompanied the delegation on a tour of Iskenderun city and introduced its historical and cultural landmarks.

Afterwards, participants visited the Mediterranean coast, where they spent cultural leisure time and explored historical sites.

The delegation also visited the Alikaya site in the Afşin district, where they closely examined the natural and historical beauty of the region.

At the end of the program, a closing ceremony of the project was held. Participants, especially the teachers, were presented with commemorative gifts, and their active participation was highly appreciated. In addition, Uzbek teachers prepared the national dish—plov—which was served to the guests.

This project contributes to further strengthening scientific, educational, and cultural ties between Turkey and Uzbekistan.
