New Prospects for Uzbekistan–Japan Cooperation in Education and Science

A meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages between a delegation from Toyo University, headed by President and Professor Etsuko Yaguchi, and Professor Feruza M. Rashidova, Head of Joint Educational Programmes at UzSWLU.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed plans to take academic cooperation between Toyo University and UzSWLU to a new level, particularly through the launch of joint educational programmes.

The parties exchanged views on developing cooperation in two stages:

At the first stage — developing and implementing a joint master’s degree programme;

At the next stage — launching mutually beneficial joint research projects.

Particular attention was paid to developing educational programmes in line with international standards, creating new academic opportunities for master’s students and researchers, and expanding scientific cooperation between the two universities.

The agreements reached during the meeting outlined new areas of academic cooperation between UzSWLU and Toyo University.
