On August 22, a community clean-up (hashar) was organized at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University
The university’s rector, Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov, also took part in the event, inspecting classrooms, the library, the sports hall, and dormitory blocks in preparation for the 2025/2026 academic year, and gave necessary instructions to the responsible staff.
During the clean-up, the university community — administration representatives and employees — jointly carried out the following tasks:
-
Campus landscaping and maintenance: walkways and courtyards were swept, waste was collected and sorted, trees and bushes were maintained, and flowerbeds were renewed.
-
Inside classrooms and buildings: windows and doors were cleaned, desks and chairs were inspected and repaired, inventory was checked, and blackboards were tidied up.
-
Sanitation and hygiene: restrooms were fully disinfected, ventilation and air-conditioner filters were cleaned, and drinking water points were inspected.
-
Safety measures: fire extinguishers were checked for validity, evacuation routes were updated, and electrical networks were inspected.
-
Information and technology: computers and projectors were cleaned, software updates were performed, and the internet network and electronic systems were tested.
-
Minor repairs and updates: wall stands were renewed, door handles and lock mechanisms were repaired, and green areas were expanded.
As a result of this clean-up, the university campus and classrooms were put in order, providing students with a more comfortable and safer learning environment.
