On December 4, within the framework of the Second Korea–Uzbekistan University Rectors’ Forum held in Seoul, memorandums of understanding and agreements were signed with Jeonbuk National University, Kangwon National University, and Honam University.

The memorandums outline the main areas of cooperation, and the university rectors agreed to sign separate agreements in the future to implement the provisions of these documents.

An agreement on the implementation of joint educational programs with Jeonbuk National University was also signed. Mr. Oh-Bong Yang, President of Jeonbuk National University, emphasized that the signing of this agreement will serve as a basis for mutually beneficial cooperation. It was also announced that, at the initial stage of cooperation, 30–40 scholarships would be allocated for students of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

In recognition of Jeonbuk National University's dedication and enthusiasm in promoting cooperation in Korean language studies and other fields, its president, Mr. Oh-Bong Yang, was awarded the title and certificate of “Honorary Professor of UzSWLU.”
