Open Lesson: “How to Improve Listening Skills”

Mirjalilova Madina Jamshid qizi, a lecturer of the Department of Linguistics and English Literature at the Faculty of International Journalism of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, together with Yusupova Maxbuba Bardi qizi, a second-year Master’s student majoring in Foreign Language Studies, conducted an 80-minute open lesson entitled “How to Improve Listening Skills” for 11th-grade students of Secondary School No. 203 in Uchtepa District, Tashkent. The lesson was delivered at the B2 level.

During the session, listening strategies were explained, a mock listening test was administered, and the results were analyzed collaboratively. Through interactive activities, students effectively developed their listening comprehension skills and their ability to identify the main idea.

The event contributed to strengthening students’ practical English language skills and encouraged active participation.
