Republican Scientific and Practical Conference Held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University
On April 3, the Department of General Linguistics of the Faculty of English Language 1 at Uzbekistan State World Languages University organized a Republican scientific and practical conference on the topic “Anthropocentrism in Linguistics: New Approaches and Research.” The event was held in both offline and online formats.
The conference was attended by professors from Uzbekistan State World Languages University, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Namangan State University, Nukus State Pedagogical Institute, and Kokand State University. Participants shared their views on the relevance of the anthropocentric approach in modern linguistics, the interrelation between language and the human factor, as well as the cognitive, pragmatic, and linguocultural aspects of language.

Speakers shared their experience in conducting research based on anthropocentrism, including issues related to the relationship between language and thought, cultural codes, and discourse analysis.
At the conclusion of the conference, important recommendations were made regarding the development of a human-centered approach in linguistics, support for scientific research, and its practical implementation.
