On February 13, the administration and faculty members of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University took part in a ceremonial event organized on the occasion of the birthday of Emperor Naruhito.

For reference, Emperor Naruhito was born on February 23, 1960, and ascended the throne on May 1, 2019. He is the son of former Emperor Akihito and is regarded as the 126th emperor in the history of Japan. According to the Constitution, the Emperor of Japan is a symbol of the State and the unity of the people.

Emperor Naruhito has gained wide international recognition for his activities in promoting international cooperation, strengthening intercultural dialogue, and supporting education. His initiatives are aimed at promoting the ideals of peace, mutual respect, and academic cooperation.

The event was attended by the Rector of UzSWLU I. Tuxtasinov, Vice Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology D. Djurayev, and professors and lecturers of the Department of Japanese Philology. During the event, prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the fields of education, culture, and science were discussed.

This ceremonial event plays an important role in strengthening friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Japan, expanding mutual exchange of experience, and further developing cultural ties.
