On December 11, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted a defense of a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogical Sciences.

Feruza Khujamkulovna Azimova defended her dissertation titled “Developing Students’ Strategic Competence in Teaching Oil and Gas Industry Terminology” under the specialty 13.00.02 – Theory of Education and Training (English Language).

The defense was attended by representatives of the university’s academic administration, faculty members, and students. The official opponents also actively took part and evaluated the dissertation.

The defense was conducted both offline and via the ZOOM online platform.

The dissertation was successfully defended, received a high evaluation from the academic council, and was recommended for the award of the academic degree. This event was recognized not only as the result of the dissertation author’s many years of dedicated work and scientific research but also as an important occasion for the university community, enriching scientific studies and practical experience in the field of pedagogical sciences.
