PhD Dissertation Defense in Philological Sciences Held

On October 10, 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council for the defense of the PhD dissertation in Philological Sciences was held at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.

The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format — both offline and via the ZOOM online platform.

According to the agenda, Jasur Latipovich Khudoyberdiyev defended his dissertation titled "Interpretation of Literary and Political Issues in the American Enlightenment Period and Uzbek Jadid Literature" in the specialty 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Comparative Linguistics, and Translation Studies.

The event was attended by the rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Ilhomjon Tukhtasinov, members of the Academic Council, and official opponents.

The researcher presented the objectives, relevance, novelty, and scientific findings of his work in detail, and provided well-reasoned answers to the Council members’ questions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the dissertation was thoroughly discussed, positively evaluated, and recommended for public defense.
