PhD Dissertation Defense in Philological Sciences Held

On November 26, a defense of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation in philological sciences took place at the Scientific Council meeting of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages. The event was organized both offline and via the ZOOM online platform.

Nafruza Esanboyevna Azizova successfully defended her dissertation on “Linguocultural and Linguocognitive Study of Phraseological and Paremiological Units Expressing Human Appearance (Based on English and Uzbek Languages),” prepared in the specialty 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies.

The defense was attended by the university rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, the scientific supervisor, and official opponents, who observed the process and shared their feedback.

The event took place in the spirit of scholarly discussion, and the results of the dissertation were recognized by the scientific community.
