PhD Dissertation Defense in Philology Successfully Held

On December 29, 2025, a PhD dissertation defense was successfully held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University in both offline format and via the ZOOM online platform.

The defended dissertation:
Mamaraimova Og‘iloy Tajimuradovna — a dissertation prepared for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 10.00.11 — Theory of Language, Applied and Computational Linguistics, entitled:
“Mentality in the Linguistic Landscape of Media: An Axiological Study (Based on Electronic Newspapers).”

The defense was attended by the Rector of the University, I. Tukhtasinov, as well as official opponents, who highly evaluated the content and scientific significance of the dissertation.

The defense was conducted in the format of an academic seminar: first, the doctoral candidate presented her research, followed by questions and discussions by the official opponents. At the conclusion of the session, the Academic Council recommended the dissertation for awarding the PhD degree.
