On December 18, a large-scale preventive event was organized under the slogan “Mahalla – Family Polyclinic – Educational Institution” by responsible university staff — the university prevention inspector M. Nurmukhamedova, the Rector’s Advisor on Women’s Affairs F. Ashurova, and university psychologist Z. Khayrullayeva — in cooperation with residents of the Jurjoniy neighborhood and medical staff of the 23rd Family Polyclinic.

During the event, special attention was paid to strengthening public health, promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth and women, and preventing drug addiction and drug-related crimes. Specialists thoroughly explained the negative impact of drug abuse on human health, family well-being, and social stability, and provided important recommendations regarding its social and psychological consequences.

It was also emphasized that protecting public health and the nation’s gene pool from drug addiction and drug-related crimes is the social and moral responsibility of every citizen. It was noted that this dangerous problem poses a hidden threat to society, seriously affecting family stability and the future of upcoming generations.

At the conclusion of the event, strengthening close cooperation between neighborhood communities, healthcare institutions, and educational organizations in the fight against drug addiction was identified as a priority task, along with fostering a responsible attitude toward a healthy lifestyle among young people and consistently continuing preventive and awareness-raising activities.
