Professor of Uzbekistan State World Languages University Guli Ergasheva Participates in an International Training Program in Indonesia
Professor Guli Ergasheva of Uzbekistan State World Languages University took part in the international training program “International Community Development (ICD) – Community Training and Village Mentoring Program”, organized in cooperation with Surabaya State University (UNESA, Indonesia) and the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP).

On February 5, 2026, within the framework of the program, Guli Ergasheva visited the small province of Kalianya under the administration of Bondowoso Regency in East Java, Indonesia, where she participated in an international conference focused on enhancing women’s employment skills and increasing their participation in the labor market. During the conference, special attention was given to expanding international cooperation and strengthening community engagement mechanisms.

As part of the visit, an official service cooperation agreement was signed with IJEN Geopark (Bondowoso region), a member of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network. The agreement covers the following strategic areas:
-
human resource development;
-
scientific research activities, as well as the organization of conferences, seminars, and training programs;
-
community-based services.
This cooperation represents an important step toward knowledge integration and the promotion of community-oriented development, contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The parties reached an agreement to establish long-term and effective cooperation. This initiative serves as a notable example of sustainable and inclusive development by linking science, geoparks, and the global development agenda, while also supporting gender equality and the empowerment of women.
