Psychology in Central Asia: Current State and Development Prospects
On March 28 of the current year, faculty members of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology at Uzbekistan State World Languages University — Professor A.K. Shamshetova (DSc), university psychologist Z.T. Khayrullayeva (PhD), Acting Associate Professor D.T. Polvanova (PhD), Associate Professor M.M. Miliyeva (PhD), and Senior Lecturer A.A. Bozorov — actively participated in an international scientific-practical conference.
The conference, titled “Psychology in Central Asia: Current State and Development Prospects,” was organized by the Department of Applied Psychology of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami in cooperation with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

The event was held in accordance with the implementation of the Resolution No. PQ–200 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 4, 2023, as well as within the framework of national and international scientific and technical events.
During the conference, scholars from Europe and CIS countries delivered presentations and engaged in discussions on the following topical issues:
— psychological schools and development trends of Turkic peoples in the context of cross-cultural research;
— mental health and psychological well-being in ensuring sustainable societal development;
— modern approaches to psychological support in inclusive education;
— current applied research in personality and social group psychology;
— regulatory and legal frameworks governing psychological practice (based on the experience of Central Asian countries).
The international scientific-practical conference was held at a high level and in a positive, engaging atmosphere.
