Rector of UzSWLU Meets with Delegation from the University for Foreigners of Perugia, Italy (as part of the “Relevant 90 Days” initiative)
On June 25, the Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, received a delegation from the University for Foreigners of Perugia (Italy), headed by its Rector, Valerio de Cesaris.
During the meeting, Rector Tuxtasinov expressed deep appreciation for the grant provided by the University of Perugia to 12 UzSWLU students and for the university’s practical support in Italian language instruction.
The two sides agreed to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation—particularly in areas such as improving the qualifications of Italian language instructors and inviting language specialists from Italy in response to the growing demand for Italian at UzSWLU.
They also discussed expanding scientific collaboration, implementing joint international projects, and developing initiatives within the European Union’s Erasmus+ program.
Valerio de Cesaris recognized UzSWLU as one of the leading higher education institutions not only in Uzbekistan but also across Central Asia, and reaffirmed his readiness to broaden cooperation in the teaching of Italian language and culture.
