Representatives of the American University of Technology in Tashkent Visit Uzbekistan State World Languages University
On January 12, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University with representatives of the American University of Technology in Tashkent (USA).
As part of the visit, the Rector of the American University of Technology, Said Irandoust, the Director of the Center for Education Quality, Pedagogical Innovations and Licensing, Yulduz Ghaybullaeva, as well as the Rector’s Advisor, Nigora Abdullaeva, took part in the meeting.

From Uzbekistan State World Languages University, the meeting was attended by Rector I. Tukhtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs M. Chutpulatov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Kh. Yuldashev, Director of the Network Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Pedagogical Personnel D. Abduganieva, and Dean of the Faculty of Translation U. Yoldoshev.
During the meeting, the organizational and academic-methodological aspects of implementing the MA TESOL program in cooperation with the American University of Technology in Tashkent were discussed in detail. In particular, special attention was given to issues of professional development of teachers within the TESOL program, the establishment of joint professional development courses, and the introduction of pedagogical innovations into the educational process.
In addition, the parties discussed the use of artificial intelligence in language teaching and translator training, the development of intercultural communication, the organization of student internships and exchange programs, as well as the holding of nationwide seminars and scientific-practical events within the framework of the project.
Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University I. Tukhtasinov put forward a proposal to consider the establishment and funding of an Artificial Intelligence Center at the university.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed at the initial stage of cooperation to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, form working groups, and develop a Roadmap, expressing their readiness to implement mutually beneficial projects step by step.
