Representatives of UzSWLU and Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages Visited the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman

On June 18, 2025, a meeting was held at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tashkent with the participation of teachers and students from Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) and Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages who had completed a language training program in Oman.

Representatives from UzSWLU included Head of the International Cooperation Department Khusanboy Yuldashev, Dean of the Faculty of Translation Ulugbek Yuldoshev, and Head of the Arabic Language Department Kamola Qodirova.

Mr. Yuldashev expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Vafa Al Busaydi for the Arabic language courses organized at the Sultan Qaboos Institute and sincerely thanked her for the financial and organizational support. They also discussed expanding scientific and academic cooperation with universities in Oman.

In turn, the Ambassador stated her readiness to strengthen ties between the higher education institutions of both countries and announced plans to increase the number of scholarships for UzSWLU teachers and students to 15 in 2026.

During the meeting, teachers and students shared their impressions of the Arabic language courses and cultural activities they experienced in Oman. The Ambassador expressed her satisfaction with the students' fluency in Arabic and wished them continued success.
